Welcome to The1U and Conscious Creation
Whether you believe you create your own reality is unimportant. There is a proven principle in psychology that what we believe, we make real. Its called the self-fulfilling prophecy, and there is a ton of research that validates it in the classroom (Pygmalian effect), to life in general, to the Observer Effect in Quantum Physics.
So that's what this blog is all about.
I've spent 60-plus years studying consciousness, engineering & science, and metaphysics and a long time ago I realized that if there is such a thing as ultimate truth, every path must lead to it, and I now know that this is absolutely true.
For a very long time it was believed that science and religion are incompatible. Actually that is true. But science and spirituality are NOT incompatible. In fact, it is science that has proven spiritual principles to be true.
If you aren't exactly sure what is the difference between religion and spirituality, stay tuned. In a subsequent issue, I'll explain.
For now, take a look at my bio. I was an engineer for 15 years, then got a Ph.D. in psychology from NC State University. I've taught seminars on project management, leadership, communications, and life skills for 40 years, and I have both feet planted firmly on the ground. The point too, is that I have a background in math and science, as well as "soft skills," so even technical readers will know that I can back up my claims with evidence from science.
I don't accept much of the woo woo stuff that I believe is the product of indigestion or pure and simple fantasy. I've interacted with mediums, who have proven to me that they are able to predict the future, and met some who were just really good B.S. artists, so I can spot them a mile away. I've also interacted with scientists who were so close-minded that I wanted to slap them for their intellectual arrogance.
In the end, though, I decided based on evidence that we do create our own reality, and we do it through processes validated by quantum science. Now if you ever saw a book by Thomas Kuhn, entitled The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, you know that scientists are extremely hard-headed about accepting new paradigms. They rejected Einstein's Relativity Theory for a very long time. And now many of them reject the finding of Quantum Physics that you much understand Consciousness to be the ground of all Being.
Yet there are scientists like Dr. Bruce Lipton and Dr. Rupert Sheldrake who are convinced that science is too locked into materialistic beliefs to be objective about anything smacking of unobservable phenomena (like consciousness) so they are not to be accorded any credence in the light of what we now know to be true of the Universe.
If that frightens you or turns you off, then read no further. You aren't going to be interested in what I have to say.
On the other hand, if these ideas excite you, make you want to read more right now, then follow this blog. There will be a lot of exciting material written in the coming weeks, and you can stay right on top of it.
